Saw 1 of the new lady doctors Dr Mathieson. Really lovely and listened to what I had to say and was very helpful. Young girl on reception desk was so kind and helpful. And smiley which is not always the case!! Good surgery but hard to get appointments sometimes.
The surgery is always spotless . Got to redial for about 20mins so thats a lot of redialing. 1 member of staff that is awful rude at times and she hardly lets u finish wot ure saying after she tells u time of appointment then hangs up and when u phone back to complain then she just becomes abnoxious. She should never be allowed to speak to or treat people like this . She should never be allowed to work there full stop . Its the old 1 thats got the distinguished voice . As soon as u hear her speaking on the phone then u definitely know which 1 it is when u go into the surgery
Reading through previous reviews and my own experiences I detail the following.
To have a 50/50 chance of an appointment it will take on average 100+ redials on your phone while juggling driving kids to school and getting to work.
On answering the office staff are abrupt and intrusive.
I don't really get why they ask what the nature of your illness is whe the GP asks you again when on consultation, it could be personal and should be confidential.
I cannot however fault the GP's from doctor Hannah, Prodfoot, Lamb, old school pros, very knowledgeable and reassuring.
To sum it up it's not BUPA by any measure the doctors are recognised professionals and without fault, the office , reception staff on the other hand are not even up to council sub standard.
Doctors are excellent especially Dr Proudfoot and Dr Hannah. One receptionist in particular can do with some training in how to treat patients, she can be very rude and abrupt.
Having visited the Doctors today I found the lights in the waiting room exceptionally bright, as two other patients had also mentioned and now have a really bad migraine.
Would highly recommend Doctors in this surgery.
Having read various other reviews about the doctors and office staff I couldn't agree more.. the doctors are very professional and caring but the reception and office staff ate unbelievabley rude and ignorant. They seem to have a policy of treating the patients as a nuisance value. and ignoring then , sighing and being offhand is the protocol. They seem oblivious to the fact that they are working in a health practice and some of these patients might be seriously ill. By today's standards this is totally unacceptable and should be addressed.
